Commissions

A commission is different from other projects I work on in that it is requested by someone who trusts me to create a painting that often features something personal. This has included pets, a vehicle, an airplane, and most often places with deep significance.

I have often recreated scenes that share historical narratives which requires considerable research, the use of historic black and white photos, listening to personal histories, and a bit of imagination.
Collaborating with a client is an honour and one of my favourite methods of creating the most unique paintings. My hope is that these commissioned paintings are passed along for generations.
